Protect Your Skin with SPF! Diorsnow SPF Review
The one thing that I can never stress enough is the use of sunscreen in your daily skin routine. The reason I stress it so much is because I have seen the effects of not using sunscreen and then dealing with acne scaring. Now I am a pretty lucky person in the sense that I have never had trouble with acne throughout high school, college, or now. I have fairly normal skin that tends to lean towards the drier side. Thinking that I didn't have problematic skin in 2011 I went to India for a month and didn't think I would need sunscreen. While there, I received a facial and consequently broke out from the excessive scrubbing of the skin. I didn't think much of it and thought it would go away on it's own. Now flash forward to me being home after my trip and now having to deal with hyper pigmentation. I couldn't figure out why I had these weird marks on my face so I changed many skin lines to see what would remove it. Flash forward to May of 2013 and I headed on a six month trip to Shanghai. Now at this time I started to experiment with many whitening/lightening products to remove the pigmentation on my skin, but to no avail. Below is a picture from January of 2014 and you can notice the pigmentation of both sides of the face as well as the chin.
I knew I had to change something, and that is when my holy grail sunscreen came into my life. The dior diorsnow uv shield was what I changed and started using and it really helped my skin! I came across this line as I was researching skincare that Girls Generation because they have amazing skin, and so natturally started to look into it. Quick shout out to Korean beauty because it is awesome!
This line is special for it's use of Icelandic glacial water, and while this sunscreen is AH-MAZ-ING, I don't know if the rest of the line was well suited for my normal-dry face.
What makes this sunscreen so great: the thing that I love about this sunscreen is that the texture helps to provide more moisture and acts as a good base for makeup. It is also good for leaving on it's own as it brightens the skin slightly to give your skin a little pick me up.
- It protects the skin from harsh environmental factors i.e. the SUN!
- It provides a brightening effect
- It provides good moisture
- It has enough stickiness that it can work as a primer base for foundation
This is how the product looks when it comes out of the tube.
As you see above the product goes on smoothly with a little bit of sheen and once it is all blended in it provides a slight brightening effect. Using this product everyday after I wash, tone, and moisturize my face has helped so much.
As you see all the hyper pigmentation has been removed and the picture above has absolutely no makeup--no concealer, no foundation, no bb cream (though I wish I could use some for my under eye area). I apply the sunscreen everyday--though in the summertime I use a little bit of powder as it can be a little too thick; it is however perfect for winter! I hope everyone uses sunscreen in their daily regimen as it is so important! Let me know what sunscreen you like to use!
