Snatched Face: Maybelline Fit Me Powder Review

Snatched Face: Maybelline Fit Me Powder Review

Hello and Happy Tuesday Everyone

As we continue on with the week I wanted to talk about longevity of makeup. How are you going to keep that makeup snatched all day? There are many different types of schedules out there, and the one that I want to touch upon is your basic 9-5. For a basic eight hour work day you will have eight hours in the office, and possibly 30min-1hour for a commute (depending on where you live). How do you set your makeup to last all day? Most likely by using a good face powder, so today I will be reviewing the Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder. Speaking from my own experience I was working 9+ hour days and had a good 1 to 1.5 hours in commute time. This meant that I was out of the house for a long time! I had to be at work by 8:30 in the morning with a 40 minute commute, which meant that by the time I got home I would usually have makeup applied for close to 11 hours (apply at 7am and come back at 6pm). I only used powder on my under eyes, but I always had a problem with white flash back (even if the powder was pigmented).

I wish I had known about the Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder back then because I wouldn't have run into that problem. First of all, this powder was only $5! You really can't beat that price point, especially when a product delivers. I bought this powder a few weeks ago in the shade medium 25 and I've used it to set my under eyes and also used it to bake my face with. It worked very well. It is very finely milled so it is easy to apply. On an everyday situation I just use my brush and apply the powder with a brush on top of my concealer, which works perfectly well. I have also used it all over my face with a damp sponge and it worked well there as well.

The best way to judge a powder is by doing the flash test....take pictures with the flash on to see if it will come back with any type of cast. Below are two examples of what happens when you use powder that is too light and then there is flash photography. It shows up and ruins your pictures!

From my pictures below you can see the powder performed very well and there was no flash back. Nothing ruins a photo worse than white flashback. I was very happy, though next time I may go a shade lighter to brighten my under eye area more. In the pictures below I used it EVERYWHERE on my face--the underneath my eyes, on my nose, chin, and forehead. It blended in perfectly and really helped my foundation and concealer set. This powder definitely made my face snatched.

This powder also helped to blur the skin and minimize the appearance of pores, which I was actually a little bit shocked by. There are certain expectations you have when you pay only $5 for a product, and this one just knocked all of my expectations and more out the park.

Reasons why the Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder is an Upsnaa Pick:

  • Affordable
  • Creamy
  • No flashback
  • Blurs pores

Definitely a 10/10 recommend--go try it out if you haven't yet!

As always thanks for reading and I hope to see you all again!
